Talking about the engine and transmission of Mahindra Thar 3-door, no changes will be made in its engine and transmission, the same engine will be seen which we get to see in the existing 3-door Thar – 2.0L mStallion Turbo Petrol Engine which generates 150bhp power and 300 to 320 Nm torque and it comes with 6 speed manual or 6 speed automatic transmission.
The second engine option is 2.2L mHawk Turbo Diesel Engine which generates 130 bhp power and 300 Nm torque and this engine also comes with 6 speed manual or 6 speed automatic gearbox.
The third engine option comes only in the RWD (rear wheel drive variant), 1.5L D117 CRDe Diesel Engine which generates 117 bhp power and 300 Nm torque and it comes only with 6-speed manual gearbox.
