As we all know, till now we get to see anti-Lock brake system only in 125 cc segment bikes, but now from January 2026, all the bikes or scooters launched in India from 100cc segment to 125cc segment will have anti-brake lock system.

Let us tell you that according to the data of the government, most two wheeler accidents happen due to braking and head injuries. Both anti brake lock system and helmet together will increase safety and reduce accidents and deaths on the road.

Due to the addition of anti brake lock system, there will be some increase in the price of entry level bikes like those coming in the 100 cc to 125 cc segment. This increase can be from ₹ 6,000 to ₹ 10,000.

The ministry has said that detailed guidelines and roll out timeline will be announced soon so that all companies can implement this rule smoothly and due to the arrival of this new rule, we will see most of the impact on the bikes launched in the 100 cc bike segment because the buyers of bikes in the 100cc segment are a little sensitive to viruses.
