Car Retail Sales May 2025: In May 2025, total car retail sales were 3,02,214 units as compared to 3,11,908 units last year and this year it is about 9694 units less, there has been a decline of 3.1% on YoY basis and 13.6% on MoM basis as well because in April 2025 total car retail sales were 3,49,939 units.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited was at the number 1 position in May 2025 Car Retail Sales with sales of 116899 units, but a decline has been seen on YoY basis because in May 2024 Maruti Suzuki India Limited sold 123295 units, in May 2025 the market share of Maruti Suzuki India Limited is 38.68% but in May 2024 the market share of Maruti Suzuki India Limited was 39.53%, hence a decline has been seen on YoY basis.

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited Company was at number two position which sold 43560 units in May 2025, Mahindra & Mahindra Limited Company has grown on YoY basis, because in May 2024 only 34517 units were sold,
Mahindra & Mahindra Limited Company has also increased the market share In May 2024, the market share of Mahindra & Mahindra Limited Company was 11.07 percent but now in May 2025 the market share has increased to 14.41 percent.

Hyundai Motor India Limited was at number three position which sold 38189 units, there has been a decline on YoY basis because in May 2024 Hyundai Company sold 45503 units and the market share was also 59% on 14 December but now in May 2025 the market share has also come down to 12.64 percent.
Tata Motors Limited Company was at number 4 position which sold 36,669 units in May 2025, but sales have declined on YoY basis because in May 2024, Tata Motors Limited Company sold 42332 units and the market share was also 13.57% but now in May 2025 the market share has come down to 12.13 percent, the retail sales report of other companies can be seen in the table.
