As we all know, production of the Dodge/Ram Dakota ceased in 2011. After that, the Ford Ranger, Toyota Tacoma, and Chevrolet Colorado became the preferred choices in the mid-size pickup truck segment. However, now, after more than a decade, Ram is once again returning to the mid-size pickup market.
Ram’s new mid-size pickup truck will be manufactured at the Toledo, Ohio plant, which currently produces the Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator.

The body design of this new mid-size pickup truck from Ram will be a body-on-frame design, which means it will be significantly different from lifestyle uni-body trucks and will pose a tough challenge to existing competitors in the mid-size pickup truck segment.
