At number two is Maruti’s Maruti WagonR, with total sales of 15,338 units in September 2025 compared to 13,339 units in September 2024, a 15% increase from September 2024.

Baleno

At number three is Maruti’s Maruti Baleno, with total sales of 13,173 units in September 2025 compared to 14,292 units in September 2024, a 8% decline in sales figures from September 2024.

At number four is Maruti Suzuki’s Maruti Alto, which is the most affordable hatchback, with total sales of 5434 units in September 2025.

At number five is Tata Motors’ Tiago, the only hatchback in the segment, with total sales of 830022 units in September 2025.

But in September 2024, only 4225 units were sold, and accordingly, there has been a 97% increase in the sales figures in September 2025 compared to September 2024.

Similarly, the total hatchback sales of the top five models are 57814 units, and in September 2024, there were 56752 units.

Therefore, there has been a growth of only 2% in the sales figures in September 2025 compared to September 2024.
